Find all of them on a compressed history timeline........... and get some eye witness accounts on them too. Go to the web research section on this website. You'll get all the warriors you want and you can check out for yourself how great they were.

Just personally speaking, I consider the Holy men of the ages as the greatest warriors, since they had to win over their enemies peacefully.

I would ask fallen's appreciation of the Zulus be tempered by what happened the day after Ishanwalda at Roarke's Drift....

and my vote as a historian of some reading experience, is The United States Marines...undefeated in battles...and looser of few fights since 1774 ( that's right, the Corps is two years older than the United States...)

consider the battle streamers on 1st Marine Division's standard.Tripoli, Washington, Veracruz, Chapultepec, Bull Run, Peking Legations, Belleau Wood, Marne, Nicaragua, Guadalcanal, Pelieu Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Inchon, Hue, Grenada, Kuwait, and now Baghdad......

In modern African history, the 19th c. accomplishments of the Zulu kingdom are magnificent military accomplishments, including the worst defeat ever inflicted upon the British Army by a native force.
The political leadership required to forge the Zulu nation and the innovation of its unique tactics mark the Zulu among the greatest of native regimes.

The Spartnas heve recently gotten attention were pretty tough but so were the Samurai and Vikings.
I will go out on a limb here and say The United States Marines in the Pacific, WWII. I have known many of themincluding my Dad so I am biased.
It is of course subjective anyway.

Alexander was the greatest in history for mankind. Maybe not the greatest fighter, but there is alot more to a warrior than the physical one-on-one combat. His stragetic mind and command ability has been unparalleled, esp for his time.

IMO ole man is right -- Mongols. Horse archers, incredibly good with bow, lance and sword. Superb horsemen. Could live on almost nothing. Superbly disciplined and coordinated -- able to fake a retreat in order to suck their opponent into a double envelopment. Consider the results -- conquered most of Eurasia. Mongols rule!
