I think Johnny Depp would be a million times better suited for the role. Sly is way too OLD. Or Leonardo Di Caprio could do it!

It will take someone special to fill the shoes of Charles Bronson!

You should watch Death Wish 1 again and recall that Charles Bronson was no spring chicken in that movie. Stalone would be about the right age. But yea', I'm sure they could find a better actor. Forest Whitaker might add an interesting twist to the role, Jean-Claude Van Damme is about due for a comeback too.

Have you seen the original movie?

Bronson was married with a twenty something year old married daughter who gets raped in the movie.

If you want to find a replace ment for Bronson you are looking for someone like Keifer Sutherland, a guy who actually has a twenty something year old daughter.

Stallone would be too old but Depp and Di Caprio would be way too young.

You want someone in their mid to late forties.

Russell Crowe, maybe, but; sombody in that age group.

And to be honest, he should be Irish. New York Irish. The Kersey name yells for it.

Then again if you go African American, Lawrence Fishburne, would be spectacular in that role. He strikes me as the evil vigilante if push comes to shove. Think pre Pulp Fiction.

I say leave it alone. Bronson was the best for those movies. And they're done! But if there had to be someone...definately not sly, he's just not the type. I'd go for Jude Law, or Matt Damon. Someone to bring intelligence to the role.

The part's really for an 'everyman' kind of actor, not too old or young... I think Kiefer Sutherland could definitely pull it off.

I think Isaiha Washington would be able to nail that role perfectly.

These re-makes are annoying. If the old one wasn't broke why try to fix it.
