It is part of the leftists playbook. Every conservative leader; Thatcher, Churchill, Reagan, Mulroney and Bush are deemed morons.
It is all part of the playbook. Since you cannot argue the success or the substance of the issues themselves, you must make a vague attack on the intelligence of the deliverer of the message. It is the course of action recommended by Mao codified by Mao but it was in practical play by leftist even before him.
Since I am a conservative I should be concerned but since liberals cannot point to a success since they sabotaged the Vietnam War I am not too worried. If they need to find a way to feel superior then so be it, as long as they remain a minor gadfly and no real threat; they can think what they want.

I think these days liberals are far more intelligent.
Todays conservatives do not even realize this man in the White House is not a conservative, yet they still blindly support him, when everything he does is in direct confrontation with conservative ideals and principles.
Conservatives are resistant to change...liberals are open to new ideas and solutions.
These definitions alone show liberals are far more likely to broaden their horizons and learn new ideas.
Liberals are far more likely to read opposing views, while conservatives only read views they share.
this is no way to learn.
Look at universities...I'm certain even conservatives would state that our schools are mostly liberal leaning, therefore higher education...professors..etc, are far more likely to be liberal in their beliefs.
Unfortunately conservatives are a dying breed...the once proud tradition of true conservatism, like Goldwater, is non-existent in todays neo-con laced world.
Hopefully conservatives will make a comeback, but how intelligent does one have to be, to allow the neo-con agenda to rape and plunder your own party?

Using your analogy, Liberals claim that rich Conservatives make all the money and should be taxed the most.
The question is, "How exactly does a person with no intelligence, get rich?"
In my opinion, a person has to be rather intelligent to understand the principles behind making money.

It would seem as though you are correct. Liberals are smarter for taking the easy way out. Live off the system and be content to let someone else work and pay taxes and continue to chuck out babies that the welfare system will pay for. Whereas the Conservatives choose to work and acquire the things in life they want and actually save their money and start new businesses to generate more jobs and promote growth in the economy. For this, the libs bash the cons and want to tax the hell out of them so there is more money for more give away programs. So in effect your right. It's smarter to be a lib and take the easy way out.

because liberals are made in a learning instituion schools etc... because when people learn things they inevitably start to contribute with "good" ideas. but are they? and do you trust yourself to human intelligence. because reality is not dependant upon perception.
