i am not kiddin'. there r so many in my neighborhood whao have married their sister's daughter. for hindus if one marries his uncle's (father's brother) daughter is incest like.

Not particularly Hindus, this practice of marrying sister's daughter has been prevalent for long time in some southern states in India but frequency has never been high. In northern states they do not marry relatives at all. However in modern India this practice has died out! The earlier practice was intended to keep properties within a certain family groups. But nowadays incidents of marrying sister's daughter are not found primarily because of Nuclear family system has come now.

No, marriage with a relative that close in blood lines is considered incest and it is illegal in many States in the USA....marriage with a niece is like marriage with your own daughter.........
