Majeed has given a very good answer. I have to agree with him. The only one thing I would like to add here is the Freedom which Musharraf sahab has given to Media is really not acceptable. Look at the women now, look at our channels, it has just got worst and I'm sure that at the time of giving this freedom, Mr. Musharraf himself had no idea that women are so desperate to get open like this.

So freedom to media, was not really a wise idea. This nation has been spoiled completely. And living here is not like living in peace but living in tension. 24/7.

On what? On his decision to quit the military and continue being President as a civilian? If that's what you are asking, then yes; he has made a wise decision.

I was born and raised and educated in Pakistan. I couldn't feed my family back in 1970 though I was above average salaried person. I didn't want to use illegal sources of making my living, so I left the country 37 years ago.

Pakistan's Majority public is uneducated, very religious and just a little less crazier than people of Afghanistan. Pakistani Public is not fit to have democratic system because they don't pay taxes and expect miracles from government. They rather pay half of tax bill as bribe so other half can be excused to them. Government never have money to provide services and politicians kept taking loans from World Bank to do the bigger projects like building roads, bridges and dams to save water. They always spent half on project and usurped other half. Mullas are against Musharraf for catching and handing over the Arab terrorists to USA. Politicians are crying for their inability to loot the treasury being out. Press people get fat during political rule. They are crying because under Military rule, their importance minimizes. God says in Quran “people get rulers what they deserve.’ Truth is that Musharraf is what they deserve. Pakistani public only deserve who can kick their behind and make them work with batons.

India is a sworn enemy of Pakistan and Benzair went to India and asked Prime Minister of India to help her bring democracy back in Pakistan so she can become Prime Minister. I myself read this news in press few years back. She is traitor and should never be allowed to have power in her hands. She is worst for Pakistan.

When Musharraf took over, Pakistan didn't have 1/2 million Dollars worth foreign currency in its treasury and debt of 43 billions. Bhutto and Nawaz were taking loans from world Bank to pay quarterly payments of debt. 57% of total GNP was being used to pay debt. Out of remaining 37% was given to military so India can not invade and occupy Pakistan. None of the government departments had money to do any work except paying salaries. Corruption is rampant. I personally know my first cousin a tailor master with his own shop paid Rs.20,000.00 to get a school teacher position in rural area of Sind Province. Primary school doesn't even exists there. It is only on papers of education department to get such bribes to give jobs. My cousin goes to school only two times a month to brown nose the town leader and to pick up the salary. . What can be worst than this. This is happening in every Province. The corruption politicians have establish can not even be cleaned by Musharraf's Army. It is that bad.

After Musharraf took over, he brought stability in country, Private sector has more jobs and I can see money flowing in economy. Other countries are investing in industries. Musharraf has paid off half of the foreign debt and have reserve of tens of billions of dollars in treasury. He makes the lazy people work and kicks the terrorists out. If he leaves, lawlessness will take over again. Politicians will ruin what ever is left of Pakistan. Americans do not know about country and just do bla bla because they know and believe only on elected government. That is good for USA but bad for Pakistani people.

Now Bush wants Musharraf to hand over their A-Bombs to USA so it doesn't fall in the hands of terrorists. Musharraf refused so he now wants politicians to bring back. Bhutto may have promised Bush to get what he wants. But Pakistan Army will never give millitary arsenal what they acquired after working hard for decades. Generals know what wars do to country. They are not stupid and will never start a war and use A-bombs that Bush fears. Politicians lie. Bhutto and Nawaz are not trustworthy. When Bhutto was Prime Minister, she demanded military to show her the A-bomb research Lab. Military didn't even let her enter in Lab because they know she is not sincere for country and will sell the country for money. Military is saving Pakistan from India. US is more friendly with India than Pakistan even though Pakistan have always been better allies of USA than India ever was.

Musharraf is patriot soldier and best for Pakistan. He should remain there as long as Generals feel country needs him. When he leaves, he must handover to another General but will never and should never hand over to the thief politicians.

Musharraf has secured his position as President so he can watch over the politicians. Musharraf is having elections soon. Who ever becomes Prime Minister, won't be able to loot the country under his watch. He will have powers to throw them out if they did any thing against the national interest.
