Yes it's beneficial to watch the pitch carefully before the match. So the batsmen can adjuct their batting style before the start of play and they can also get an idea of the behavior of the pitch

Yes,It's very beneficial coz then the batsman can figure out the depth o the cracks on the pitch and he caqn get to know how much bounce the bowler would get and obviously he would like to see how the pitch plays out or if it wares out after playin for a relatively long period like a test match or somethin...

It will be advantageous to know how the ball will behave on the pitch(slow/fast/bounce etc.) But of course if you're not a good batsman it probably won't help you much

of course it is beneficial as he can adjust his mind and his batting to what the pitch has to offer. but still, most of the performance depends on the batsman skill and the amount of practice he has done in the nets.

No, best person is the head curator, he will tell you how it was prepared and how much water was put on, how it rolled and so on, the most frustrating thing for a curator is the arrogance of some players who rock up to the ground walk out to the wicket touch it and then say oh its going to do this or its going to do that without even consulting the one person who can give a definitive answer and insight into what,s going on with the wicket.
