according to Boomer Esiason on Westwood One after the Bengals-49ers game Saturday night, it is likely to be Mike Singletary, the assistant coach of the 49ers and former Bears All Pro.

It will most likely be a coach from the pros. But the situation in Atlanta is so dismal that it will just about have to be a first timer head coach that doesn't really know what he is getting into. I'd go for Jason Garret of the Cowboys if it was me. He is getting the lions share of the credit for the offensive numbers that Dallas is putting up this year. But what a feather in someones cap if they could turn that franchise around.

anyone with a death wish. the place is a black hole. doesn't have hardly any talent and what talent they have only plays when they feel like it, like crumpler and hall. they have a horrible offense, defense is also terrible and the fan base is walking out the door in the second quarter. it would have to be a disciplinarian in order to bring any kind of shape to the falcons. forget about marty, or denny green. even they ain't that stupid. it will be a coordinator or a young coach that doesn't have a lot of experience, like tomlin in pittsburgh.

i hate to say this because im a big cowboy fan but jason garrett will be a great fit in atlanta. If the falcons go after him they will have to pay alot for him because jerry jones pays him well and will pay alot to keep him in dallas
