I will admit I tend to hold back on saying stuff like that with eldest daughter! - she immediately jumps to conclusions that I'm having memory problems! LOL
My memory is quite good, and like you those things are things I've said for eons [just like my 45 yr old daughter, I might add!]

No, I'd rather be me! If I'm thinking about the cost of something besides what I am buying at the register, I'll have to ask the cashier again
for the amount, or question the change amount.
I've always been a deep thinker, and this is more of a bad habit I picked up as a child. The fear is valid these days, and it is a shame.
Hitlers Germany comes to mind, as the medical society, and those wanting to intimidate others are alarming in number,
and disrespectful to boot!

When you get to 60, hopefully you won't worry about what people say. Having said that and with the fact that I say these things now at age 46, I think your question leaves a lot to be desired. My grandfather suffered from Alzheimers and it was a terrible embarrassment to him. Not becuase he worried about what people thought, but because he felt he'd become a burden on his loved ones. Its no laughing matter so I hope your question was asked in earnest.

No, I still blunder about losing things and forgetting where I'm supposed to go or what I went for but I've been doing that since I was a teen. My wife is my strength, she is twenty years younger than me and won't get dementia until I'm permanently horizontal.

No not really cause everyone just knows at that age your memory is starting to fade.I mean I say some of that stuff now and people are asking me if I have a hard time remembering things. I'm only 20, it happens to the best of us.

The worst thing is when you are at the bottom of the stairs and can't remember if you had just come down or were just about to go up. We have a 4 story house. Think on

No, I have CRS syndrome too, but it's nothing new, so no one looks at me funny. They just laugh at me. My problem is my mind is just too occupied with other things to notice my left hand putting down my keys automatically, somewhere never to be seen again.

my wife is very much concerned about my age ... her concern is increasing with every passing year... while she is getting older in looks and health too, I'm not... u can understand her concern... when I'm not getting older with time .. why should i count but how to handle my wife who is becoming more and more suspicious about me with every passing year... if u want to know my age, u have to ask my wife first... she 'd add 5 years to my real age so that women remain away from me...now u know why i don't want to tell u my age, because u won't believe ... i'm not jocking... some people don't grow old i'm one among them.. i feel i'm just 30.. u may add as many years to my age as u wish .. i still work 10 hrs a day.

No not for the fear....
I actually forget things.
I retired early because of this forgetfulness.
