I need to be able to create large (up to 20" x 20") permanent plastic stickers that are rugged and durable, waterproof, un-tearable, and virtually indestructable with normal daily use. They need to be able to withstand water, slight tearing, spills, wont fall off, etc. for roughly 4 months. How would I go about creating such a thing? This is for a business I run and I would like to be able to create such stickers in-house, rather than go to a printing company. What type of commercial printer would I need? what type of ink/paper, etc.? Basically how can i do this all with a small team of people? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I would eventually be printing thousands, so this is a long term project that would hopefully be cost-effective

A commercial A3 printer seems like the best bet- i can settle for its 12" x 46" maximum size capacity (the maximum banner setting on most models). Can such printers print water resistant ink? What material would be best to use? I need it to be able to have high adhesiveness where it cannot be peeled off through both every day use and through vandalism. It also needs to have a plasticy consistency.

You're going to need to print an awful lot of these to become cost effective to do inhouse.

WATER RESISTANCE rules out inkjet.
20x15 means at least an OVERSIZE A3 laser machine, not many of these about, most go to 17x11

You are looking at a piece of HEAVY COMMERCIAL printing kit, believe me, it'll cost so much you'll be better leaving it outsourced

Edit :

With ref to your edit, best bet is to ASK a seller of such equipment for their advice on what you really need. THEY are the experts.

The stickers are there to perceive the final sort of fruit (apples and oranges are available in dozens of different types) to the keep team on the checkout counters. purchasers do not ought to work out the small labels while they have ones in good sized friendly letters above each and each fruit demonstrate (which additionally demonstrate the rustic of beginning). As for guy landing on the moon, properly some human beings are not constructive that got here approximately the two.
