I know it's kinda easy to answer this, but I forgot! Is the answer x to the sixth power (x6) or s to the eight power (x8)?

I say it's x6 but my friend disagrees and says it's x8..please help me!! I'm having a beg test tomorrow. Thanks! :D

(x^2)^3 = x^2. x^2. x^2 = x^6

(x^2)^3 = x ^6 where the symbol (^) means 'to the power of'.

You merely multiply the exponents in this case.
If it were:
(x^2)x^3
you would ADD the exponents instead.
