This friend of mine is a professional athelete. While he was running he got a hamstring tear. Now, when they took him to the hospital, the doctor confirmed the injury and said he would be out for a month. His wife was standing a little far away, she had her head down and was tapping her foot. Before I left me and her husband realized that she was crying.

Is that normal for a wife to react like that !?!?! I mean, have heard that when you love someone you feel the pain because they are also in pain. It is kind of surprising for me because my gf never cried for me. So could it be that she just loves him a lot?

Or is she worried about his money?

They are married for four months. He is still going to be paid for one month and his expenses are on his club.

This is what we called LOVE, she is sad to know that her husband is in pain n she loves him, she just doesn't want her husband to be in pain. The money is secondary problem, love n care comes first.

It could be a little of both and a wife can love her husband that much to cry when she sees him in pain. I'm just surprised that you don't know a woman's love can be that strong for the man she loves. Just because your gf didn't cry for you doesn't mean she loves you any less then your friends wife loves him. Everyone shows their feelings in a different way, some can keep their emotions hidden and some wear them on their sleeves.

That sounds a little fishy to me. She might be worried about the long term affects. However, players recover from injuries like that, but I think it takes a little longer than a month. Depending on the severity of the tear. However, this can lead to future tears (Ken Griffey, Jr. anyone?). Sounds like she just might be after the money and is worried he won't be able to do whatever it is he does professionally anymore. Might want to warn the guy about this. I've gotten hurt before and my girlfriend of 5 1/2 years has never cried. She's definitely shown concern and cared for me, but never cried. My injuries have ranged from broken bones to the common cold. Then again, I'm not a professional athlete, but I do play sports. Brandon
