chamomile tea is good, calming, good with honey and some lemon.
mint tea, tastes good, but it will constipate you.
Lipton tea has too much caffeine.
Sleepytime tea, is calming you and the baby, without side effects.
forget the green tea.

for anyone's information- herbal tea- is made of all kinds of plants. that includes GREEN tea and Lipton.
enjoy the silence...

Hi there,

Here is what webmd says about herbal teas: http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/pregnancy-myths-dos-donts

I have read a lot that you should stay away from green and herbal teas for various reasons, but once in a while I will have a cup.

Normally, I get English Breakfast decaf and drink that! It is a nice black tea. My doc also said I could have one cup of caffeine a day- so I will have a cup of regular english breakfast!

Drink green tea.......once in the morning and again in the evening.Drinking tea isn't prohibited for pregnant women. In fact , there are some nutritional ingredients in tea.
If you are great tea drinker , giving up tea completely may affect adversely.Green tea without milk or light tea with pinch of sugar and some milk is good for you.

Peppermint tea is awesome for upset stomachs and heartburn. Drink tea with no caffeine, because its best to avoid it when pregnant. And stay away from red raspberry leaf tea. It can stimulate labour. Read the label to make sure it is what it says it is. And avoid: anise, catnip, chamomile, comfrey, ephedra, European mistletoe, hibiscus, horehound, Labrador, lemongrass, licorice root, mug-wort, penny-royal, rosemary, sage, sassafras, stinging nettle leaf, vetiver, and yarrow. Good luck!

I think green, white (has antioxidants) or an herbal tea. Any tea that doesn't contain caffeine. I am a tea drinker but I never asked so I just limited my tea intake.

Green teas would be good in moderation ...just say AWAY from herbal teas containing raspberry leaves or black Cohosh (both induce labor)

yes you can drink tea it has a smaller amount of cafeine than coffee does, and of course you wouldnt drink too much of it anyway, but if you really want to drink hot drinks go for a herbal tea or a green tea they are full of antioxidants and are good for you, especially for relaxtion, and you can get heaps of different flavours.
