Holidays bum folks out! Rich folks get down, they shop. Poor folks get down, they steal. NOT all of us! Some getta rush from stealin like drugs, others powertrip on da fact they ganked somebody's merch! Mostly opportunity meets pychology.

People are usually in a hurry, have more stuff on their minds, or are around a lot of other people. This makes them more vulnerable. Not to mention the fact that more people are walking around with freshly bought merchandise.

Crooks and theifs thrive around Christmas, so be aware!

simple, there is more stuff to be had at xmas. people carry stuff outside and have more of it.

security is busy with many shoppers flooding stores, so the thief presses his/her luck .

anything they can sell or hand off to a pawn shop. Most is stolen to fund gang activity.

Or as a gift to higher ups. don't kid yourself, gangs are into drugs, theft , murder, everything,

A lot of kids want expensive electronic toys. Some parents are willing to do bad things and justify it by telling themselves they are doing it for their kids.

Not sure crime is usually linked to drugs or desperate financial situations. I guess they really need to buy that i pod as a gift i don't know.
