I run a website for nudists - it features non sexual images of nudity. Some, I suppose are a bit suggestive. But a 16 year old wants to be on the site and is willing to sign a model release. Is it legal in Australia to post a photo shoot of this person on our website?

Art and pornography is very difficult to distinguish. A nudist will likely be charged for indecency rather than be appreciated for art.

I think it would be good advice to say DON'T DO IT ...not in the way things are the moment ... wait until the person is 18 ..

even if they had parental consent I would be hesitant.

Some twenty odd years ago when I was in High School .. there was a girl who's parents ran a nudist camp and this girl ( aged 16 at the time) was photographed by the Australasian Post ( tasteful and not sexual but naked never the less) ... but we didn't have the internet then being used by perverts and abusers .. and I would think that you could be placing yourself in jeopardy by posting a naked minor on your website .. even if it was all above board.. as another person suggested .. seek legal advice . .

If it was an Arts of Nude in Australia will be able to put it on internet site, like photographic Society or camera club, but don't take nude photos outside like (Garden, lake side or swimming pool),you could take it in The Photographic Society's Studio, also Society will put some nude photos in Magazines or books.

This is probably best left for a local lawyer instead of yahoo answers.

I think you should get legal advice on this one, just to make sure that you don't get yourselves into trouble.
