Happiness to me is having someone to share my successes and my failures. No matter whether a friend or a lover. Just to have a companion to be near me and share with me my good times and my bad.
Of course, in the past, I always enjoyed successes more than failures. Now, I've realized that there is good in failure too.

First, I have learned more about how to avoid failure - if paying attention. Also, if I don't completely avoid failure, due to an extensive network of friends and family, I am blessed.
My hard times feel so much less hard, making me happy that I have people near me in times of need.

Friends and family and a success here and there make me happy. And my husband makes me so very happy. I don't deserve him, yet he feels he doesn't deserve me.

I am most happy that I have found an incridible person to spend the rest of my life with. And if doesn't live as long as I, doubtful since he is 8 years younger, still I will feel lucky to have been with him and known and loved him and been loved by him.

Unfortunately, there is no specific answer to this.
What one considers happiness may be misery for another.
A walk along the beach can make a normal man happy while it can be hell for a lame one.
We may have to be content with calling it an agreeable frame of mind.

It is possible that stillness, a quietude, or an inner contentment may be true happiness. Not wanting anything, no ambition, and just being is happiness.
It is discontent that brings on a rebellion, closely followed by sorrow.

Some agnostic girl albeit spoilt told me what is happiness, if you take it away then there's nothing. Yes, everything is actually superficial, what makes you happy could be awful actually. Take it from Buddha, Existence is suffering, that is the first premise. If we take this in to account then whatever happiness that comes our way, although small should be satisfying. My question is, why do people who are living comfortably cannot seek happiness when people who are living in suffering do?

Happiness is seeing others happy, making others happy. Achild loses track of its mother in a crowd. After much of crying and searching, when the child finds its mother, the feeling it gets is happiness. We are also like the lost child, only we are not remembering the MOTHER, being distrcted by various diversions of life.

happiness means . when ur surrounding's , ur family and our country. all are without any problem, all country peoples live peace, that's make only everyone happy. when our world without war, terrorism then only happiness will spread. at least make ur family and friend's without any problem then u saw the happiness. we pray for our world peace.Happiness is in our mother hugs, baby's smile ,old peoples blessings.

If anyone(u don't know who is that) in difficult position that time u help that person (like give food, take to hospital, etc etc.,) after ur help that person wish u through his heart that time u feel happiness . that happiness is not compare to anything that make u very very happy so make others happy u feel happiness. if i made any mistake in this plz ignore it .

for a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin, real life, but there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid at last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life this perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. happiness is the way. so treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Happiness is a fleeting emotion of contentment. I think true joy comes from finding the peace inside the inevitable suffering of humans. My opinion is that this will come from thinking of others and working hard to not be so self-centered.
