1) No.
2) It hasn't.
3) The threat of homegrown terrorism is a myth. A similar ploy was used during the 50s to induce the Red Scare and the 60s by Nixon.
The Bush administration just wants you to BELIEVE that we have all these phantom terrorist cells in the States--somehow operating without Big Brother's knowledge--but it's nothing more than a classic scare tactic.

Disagree, people who attacked us on 9/11 became into Saudi Arabians, those are our meant allies. using Iraq as a conflict floor is faulty in maximum of techniques i wont checklist. all of us could understand by using now Al Quaeda wasnt in Iraq till we became into. maximum folk of people who dont like the U. S. dont have the skill to return right here, except they attempt a militia invasion, and which would be a huge mistake. Its like the announcing is going offense sells tickets, protection win video games. we are definately not protecting usa by using being in Iraq, our southern border is open. Mexico cant even end mexicans from coming over, how they gon end nicely armed terrorist. Whom would i upload stay in deserts, they'd get into usa hassle-free. the folk we are battling in Iraq combat us reason we are nevertheless there. Lebanon is an outstanding occasion, comparable concern, as quickly as we left suicide bombings stopped. Iraqis are lots extra nicely equiped to handle Iraqi situations than we are. i'd fairly have them come right here to combat us, they'd lose rapid. If we shop battling interior the middle east, we are able to watch for extra wars from the subsequent era, then the subsequent. we are breeding hate, the terrific thought is to get our usa off oil all mutually. We dont want the middle east, enable them to have thier piddly squables.

Freedom is not free. Many have fought and died so we can enjoy the comforts of democracy. My husband is a soldier.
I know he would would do anything to keep his family safe at home. Think about it. If our enemies were not rushing to Iraq to engage our soldiers what would they be doing with all that free time and extreme hatred. It is not unrealistic to believe that were we not there, some of them would be here. Happy holidays. Thank you to all of our armed forces.

Just another Bush & Co. catchphrase that has no basis in reality. Just whom are we fighting? Fragments of the Baathists trying to cling to some sliver of control. Shi'ite militias who see a chance to exert their majority in a future Iraq or cut off altogether and join Iran? I was unaware these groups posed a terrorist threat to the US on American soil and thereby needed to be taken on in the Middle East.
Shoulda kept the focus (and global support) in Afghanastan. Might have caught OBL and would have a had a better opportunity to guide a functioning democracy/economy. Now the military's spread too thin over 2 chaotic countries. Bush & Co.'s solution........invade Iran.

We're fighting them over there because we're an empire, and fighting over there is the sort of thing that empires do. A discussion of motives is immaterial, empires simply do what empires do. If you own a pet tiger, there is no deep meaning to it's behavior. It was hungry, it ate your neighbor. It cleaned it's claws, your couch is now shreds. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of a country that acts like an empire, then perhaps that is what you should be questioning.

Why are you ROFL? Did you tell a joke? I'll tell you what's funny, it's small minds overreaching to try to make light of serious issues like, oh, terrorism. When you are old enough to shave and vote, maybe you'll have a better grasp on the world. In the mean time, go play Halo or something.

someday people are going to figure out what a brilliant planned war this was. we picked the battle field, the timing was perfect. we are fighting the terrorist where we want to fight them. does anyone else see that? these people want us dead and gone. they hate our values, our way of life, and our freedom. the part i can't figure is the ones they hate most ( the far left) are the ones defending them here. crazy

No. George Bush puts his effort in to securing Iraq's borders and tells us we are safer because of it while countless terrorists could be walking in to the United States through our unsecured borders.

I think Katrina showed us how weak the Federal response system is at home...
It makes me wonder. If attacks were expected wouldn't that be the first thing that is put into place? Or was FEMA (the FEMA under DHS) created just to give a false sense of security and there really was no expectation of attacks/emergency at home?
I mean if they really truley believed Saddam had WMD's....well...wouldn't they be prepared for mass destruction at home?

They have already proven that they have the will to hit us in our own Country. People are so quick to brush off the first attack on the WTC and 9-11.
