I think there are academically accepted methodology of arts but rejected by philosophy but these are just temporal acceptance.
Schools are governed by philosophy. So if the school accepted the methodology, it also follows an acceptance in line with their school philosophy but maybe rejected by some other philosophies.

When you say "academically accepted methodology of arts" these means there was an evaluation and assessment done for its acceptance.

The question is what was the basis of the methodology acceptance? So philosophy comes in which is usually the basis.

Some rejection is going on in most arenas.

You might enjoy "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet,
"Men in White Apparel" and "Watch Your Dreams," Ann Ree Colton, and "A Philosophy of Universality," O. M. Aivanhov.

No genuine philosophy with logical awareness rejects any reliable protocol and data.

Some less-genuine philosophers are less perspicacious; an example was the Vienna Circle's erroneous arrogation of all truth unto atomism. Some reductionist "neurophilosophers" similarly err, presently, by e.g. denying what is occuring in such venues as http://www.tiller.org http://www.integralscience.org http://www.tcm.phy.cam.ac.uk/~bdj10 and even

Often, any arts are easily reputed by each other. Take for example, bio-sociology and their eugenics theory, it merely represents cultured biases that is taken as 'scientific'. And sociologists can prove that. Even medicine is not fully understood or known although doctors will tell you otherwise. Placebo effects exist and are documented. For example, the native aboriginals who have no access to healthcare whatsoever often resort to the world of spirits. But they heal don't they? It is the power of belief sometimes, and sometimes, it is the power of medical science. Either way, both are right but they hate each other so much they want to prove each other wrong :)

Are the blood rituals of the Inca or Mayan rejected by any Christians? Who you are and what your beliefs are make you no less philosophical or more philosophical than any other, however imperfect your philosophizing is. It could make you more evil however.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
