I Would Have To say 1 But There's The Song 12 Days Of Christmas And Alot Of People Celebrate The 12 Days Of Christmas By Opening Presants Slowly Over The 12 Days But They Are Just Days Leading Up To Christmas

There are 12 days of Christmas, beginning with December 25 and ending on January 6.

The 12 days of Christmas begin on December 25th which is the day that represents the birth of Jesua and end on January 6th which is Epipheny or in some cultures Three Kings Day. Three Kings Day represents the day that the Magi arrived bringing gifts to the baby Jesus.

In some cultures, Three Kings Day is celebrated by leaving a pair shoes out the night before, for the Three Kings to leave a present in.

I won't even touch commercialism of Christmas.

There is one Christmas Day. The liturgical calendar for the Catholic Church identifies the "Christmas Season" as the days from Christmas to the Epiphany (Jan 5th), the traditional day when the wise men or magi presented their gifts to Jesus. That's 12 days and that's what the song is based on.

The original is 12 (check my source link to Wikipedia).

However I have seen commercials say a longer length of days like you've mentioned. I think the point they're trying to make is their sales are so "good" everyday is like Christmas.
