I assume when you say "my 4 kids", that he is the step-father?

Either way it is not wrong of you to ask him to watch your children. He is your husband and has accepted a parenting role in that regard. I think once a weekend is a little excessive to be going out with friends when you have four children and a husband. But, that is just my opinion.

I would think it more acceptable once a month. But, again, my opinion.

Well, you do need to have some time off from all that parenting and job. But you must discuss this matter with your hubby,as taking care of four kids can be tough, especially on his own and that too,on weekends !!If it's like this every weekend then NO but once in a while sounds ok.

why not make it twice a month and give him some time to go kick it as well...every weekend is a bit much...we all need a break from family that is understood...but leaving him home with all those kids every weekend can cause some resentment from your husband...its also nice to hire a babysitter and just let it be the two of you...as fun as it sounds to go out every weekend u kinda gave that luxury up when you had kids...talk to your husband if he doesn't mind then that is on you guys...you should do something where you go out one weekend as a family...good luck and i hope it works out for you...

With 4 kids you deserve some time out but maybe not every weekend. I would hope your hubby helps with the kids - he probably wouldn't mind giving you a break once in a while.

Going out once a weekend when you have 4 kids and a hubby at home? Maybe it is time you grew up a little and focused on your family. Once a month is fine but every weekend???
That is just asking for trouble!

Only if you would mind watching the kids the other weekend night so he can go out with his friends.

So you mean every weekend? I could see every once in a while not being a problem. Every weekend you might want to give him a deal where he can go out every like Saturday night while you watch the kids if you go out say every Friday night.

Once a week? I feel sorry for you family if your out that much. And your husband must just be miserable. Family life isn't the single life. Sorry you didn't figure this out 4 kids ago!

Pray to Allah and ask HIM to help you. By the way your Dad should had been fully aware about her before marriage and the best thing to do is to talk to her relatives or friends. But what is don is done, so you can only pray to Allah to solve all your problems, but Allah has also given specific instructions to take care of your parents....How well are you going with you biological mother since she was divorced ? Think about everything before saying why something is wrong with your life. Barik Allah Feekum Ukthil Kareem

It's not wrong, everybody needs some time away to hang out with friends. It can be hard for a parent to do this at first, some of them have guilt about leaving the kids at home to spend time with other adults. I explained to my little one that I like to hang out with friends my age once in awhile, just like he wants to play with other kids his age. Just make sure that you spend quality time with the rest of the family too.
