There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Wish I had said that first. I can't speak for others, but there is no event worse than the fear of it. For example, fear of dying is worse than dying itself (and I speak from personal experience, having been dead for... I dunno how long). Another example: Fear of childbirth is worse than giving birth; fear of an accident is worse than a car collision.
