It is likely that Flight 93 (which crashed in Pennsylvania) was intended by the highjackers to hit either the White House or the Capitol. There is no reason to think that the bad guys won't try again, although it clearly won't be by highjacking airplanes: the passengers would not let them get away with it. Whether the next President will have the guts and ability to defend the country from the bad guys is not clear, but the present indications are not at all encouraging.

Well what happens to the country rests in the next president. They have a big job a head of them. They have to deal with this war, terrorism, health policies, and anything else they decide to throw in there. The next president will make or break the country. They already tried the Pentagon.... and I would think of the French before I destroyed the Statue of Liberty... I get really worked up talking about this.....I am retarded...lol

The White House and the Pentagon. Probably the Pentagon first, though.

Middle Eastern Terrorists tend to try to see through to completion the destruction of their targets. They bombed the WTC in 1993, and finished the job in 2001. The Pentagon was attempted and they completely missed the White House. They will want to try again.

Likely next target: Hoover Dam.

Think about it:
Concrete: 4.36 million yd³ (3.33 million m³)
Traffic across the dam: 13,000 to 16,000 people a day
Lake Meads
area: 157,900 acres (639 km²), backing up 110 miles (177 km) behind the dam.
volume: 28,537,000 acre feet (35.200 km³) at an elevation of 1,221.4 feet (372.3 m) .

That's an insane amount of water and rock flowing downstream, reaching all the way down south past Mexico into the Gulf of California. If you thought California suffered from power outages before, look out!

Another feasible and deadly option: Dirty Bomb
Essentially a conventional explosive duck taped to a radioactive object, it would form a radioactive cloud, poisoning many and causing the area it effects to be evacuated and (eventually) destroyed.

Yet another $H!T Hits the fan scenario: Gas Station explosion.
In my town of Plano, Texas, I know of 10 or so intersect ins with 4+ gas stations. If one were to blow up, they all would, causing a huge chain reaction, a lot of shrapnel/rubble, and a rather large death toll, especially during Rush Hour.

Another possibility: A well armed, non-insane gunmen shooting it out or detonating a bomb at a Large College (like UTA (25,000)) or a sporting event (like the Super Bowl)

You Get The Picture

According to the International Police, the next target of terrorists, esp. Al_ Q_, would be on the Olympic Game in 2008 both in Beijing and Hong Kong. Beijing got much higher risk than Hong Kong. They are also expecting the bombs would be either IED or bio-chemical.

No offense but you seem to be uneducated and possibly republican. Which isn't bad, but honestly, what ever the target is there is absolutely nothing we can do as citizens here in the U.S.A. And yes, I firmly believe that who ever is elected president they will do a hell of alot better than what we have right now. Instead of focusing, and spending time, money, and energy on this whole 'terror threat' we need to be focused on countries that don't even have clean water or a meal to eat or a bed to sleep in at night. For example the average american family spends about 350-something dollars on groceries per week for a family of four. In africa they get $1.60 for the whole week to feed 6 people! That something that we should be worried about and something we as citizens could change by donating not just our money, but our educations and time as well.
Instead of wasting time flailing over something we have no control over we should use our minds to help others who have nothing.

this question is mangled but, here goes. the next president if Dem would not do much to go after another terrorist attacker. Repubs would and it would be dangerous either way. I pray we are not attacked again regardless who is pres. It would be a plane into Hoover dam or a semi-truck style attack using HAZMAT or something in the bottom of a tall building. I think.

What will happen will be a focus on getting out of this stupid war that we never wanted in the first place. It is a civil war and we don't belong there. Any target would be a terrible blow. We must all be cognizant of our "beliefs" because they can KILL and they do so everyday.

I think that we are going to clone David (that guy from waco texas thing) and insert him into the terrorist network so he will convince them to engage in their own mass suicide.

We'll play loud music and send the ATF, and smoke grenades to hurry the process.

NO. I think Bush is single handedly keeping the entire terrorism network at bay.

It would be the White House if it was done before this administration gets out of office. And maybe when it does, there won't be anymore attacks. Think about it; they didn't attack us on our own soil until he was in office.
