Endings that don't tie everything up nicely that are a little bittersweet and leave you with a sense of hope for the protagonist with a bit of an open end that actually allows a viewer to live with the story after it has ended.

Although sad movies have their place, I just LOVE a happy ending!

Two movies with the BEST endings are 'Crocodile Dundee' and 'Overboard.' I could watch those ending over and over again -- and usually do!

I don't really enjoy 'non-endings.' If I had the creativity and imagination to figure out the end, I'd be WRITING the movies, not watching them! I think it's a cheat when the story is left unended.

Great question! You deserve a star!

I ALWAYS love an ending that makes me think and change my way of thinking somehow. Sad endings are great, I love feeling sad and depressed (hahaha). Almost all of my favorite movies have an ending that made me think about it everytime I don't have anything to do, or sometimes even when I'm doing something, that's the best quality for endings for me...

I do not like to be left hanging in any way. If I have to imagine my own ending, I'll write my own damn movie. I also prefer to feel good, or crying for happy reasons. Life is hard enough. I use movies for escapism. And there I want to be happy. I especially like triumphant endings. Good guy wins kind of stuff.

I like things to end unfinished.

I'm tired of everything coming together like you expected or things ending in a cliche "turn of events" sort of way.
