i'm 15 (16 in april) and my boyfriend is 18 (as of november), so there's almost a 2.5 year difference. things are great,
but i've been warned about statutory rape

i live in Massachusetts- what's the law(s) exactly? i looked it up and got "criminal inducement to get a person under 18 of chaste life to have unlawful sexual intercourse"- what the hell's that mean? is this something i should actually be worried about? more for his sake than mine. i've heard that charges can be pressed for anything sexual, not just intercourse ... fill me in please? advice, facts, whatever you've got.

i don't need ******* moral lessons. if you think that 15 is too young to have sex, that's fine, it's your opinion. but there is no reason why you should share it with me, since it does not answer my question or help me in any way. you don't know me or my situation, so keep your judgmental sermons to yourself.

and age is just a number. the law might not recognize that, but my boyfriend and i do.

our relationship is what it is. i don't want your opinion on whether or not we should date because you can't change that.

and ps... we aren't having sex

You are old enough to have sex. But your body and your mind is not. You will some day, look back and regrete how you are allowing other people and yourself to demean you. You are a worthy person. You do not need to give away your personal treasures now. You think it's cool now, but it really is not. Sex is a wonderful act of bonding between man and woman that will be together in a life long relationship as husband and wife. The relationship now will not last. Males want manly sex at that age. He wil not be supportive of you if you hold out or if you would become pregnant. You can not afford to take care of yourself. Your still in school, unable to work full time. Even if you did work full time, you would not be able to pay at least $600 a month for rent, $120 for gas, water, and electricity. If you want a telephone or cable t.v that would be even more expense. Oh yea... how about the $600 a month that it cost for diapers and formula. Dont forget clothes, car seat, doctor bills. Just stop and think. You have so much more to look forward too. Don't rush into being a adult yet. You will miss out on the fun teenage years of hanging out with friends, going to school dances and games. Stop and really think this through.

any sexual act being oral, fondling, or actual intercourse via vaginal or anal between anyone 18 yrs of age or older and anyone under the age of 18 is concidered statutory rape and can be punishable by prison time for the adult.

Now advice I know that it is sometimes impossible to not have sex but try very hard not to I know that right now you are in love and passionately so but think of the things that can happen.... pregnancy diseases and im not saying that your BF is running around but if he has had sex once he is possible for carrying many types of diseases for example herpes is most commonly dorment in the carrier . If you have the option to get the new vaccine for HPV do so if you have not had sex yet this will keep you from contracting the virus that can cause cancer later in life. If you do have sex please use protection not only for pregnancy but for diseases as well. Again anyone can carry a number of diseases and not know it.

Also some variations of sex are illegal such as oral and anal in alot of states you might want to check into that as well.

Here is a site to check out laws on sex for many states and countries

you know
thats a huge difference at a young age
so im just warning you not to get involved into anything that could harm you
idc how old or mature he is
dont rush sex at all
im not gonna say wait till your married or your both atleast 18
not a chance
dont rush anything and be safe
as for laws about it
if your families dont like eachother and they had proof something happened they could press charges
rape is basically forcing sex
its not rape if your willing
it may be illegal
you may be jailbait jk
just be careful nd make sure ur familes dont hate eachother and you should be all good
theres a ton of ppl that date within 2 or more years some in the same situation that your i and they never get in trouble at all because theres no reason for it
as long as nothing is being forced on you
no charges can be pressed

It's statutory rape because he's an adulot and you are a minor...

even if it's consensual sex...

charges can be pressed, and he will get in big trouble, and those legal problems will stay with him the rest of his life, because statutory rape is not something he would want future employers to see on his record.

There can be someone accused of rape according to age. In an article i read, there was a women who was 17 and a man who was 15 and they were in love and had sex and then she was put on trial for rape and wasnt able to talk to her boyfriend again.

The age of consent in your state is 16 for males and females, so you should defnitely wait until you've turned 16 just to be on the safe side.

Ok...if you love him...love wouldnt require you two having sex. But if you are one of those horny people (god bless your soul), and just want to satisfy ur sexual needs...They sell toys...its almost as satisfactory (I think, i swear i wouldnt know) and its infinitely more safe (law wise) than having sex w/ your bf. But if ur bf is the one who's horny, god dam get him some play boy magazine and lock him in the restroom. the sex part wouldnt last over 2 min but if u allow him to do such things to you, do expect 40 years of taking care of cracked children.

Btw, i think such age difference means that you two must be pretty darn desperate, and dont share that online, its sickening. There are young kids trying to ask about elmo and stuff.

Sorry i cant help you on the law thing. but unless you havent already, get some common sense? when was it ever legal to have a teenager of ur age doing sex w/ someone of 18 ????

P.S. you make me sick, sick i tell you. i want to barf but then i'd have to clean it. but still, you make me sick.

the question you should be asking yourself is why does an 18yr old want a 15 yr old. how much could you have in common with 2.5 years between you. YES IT IS ILLEAGLE. your parents could press charges if they wanted to.
