Im on Aviane. Ive been on it since 9, 07. In my 2nd mth., I started bleeding very heavily my first week in. But after 3 wks, I went to my doctor. I stopped taking the pill- missed 2 active days and all 7 "blanks."
I decided to get back on it when I was "suppose to" and took it at exactly the same time everyday. No problems emotionally since then. :)
My 3rd mth I actually lost a pill. I didnt know what to do so the next day I just took the next available pill, like I just ignored a day. Period time rolled around, and I was cramping and I had it for one day, w/ spotting. That was it.
Now this month I lost another one and I just went to the next pill like I had done previously.

Was that the right thing to do? I tried buying a new pack to have an extra pill but insurance didnt cover it. As far as sex, we use a condom almost every time- and if not he pulls out or he doesnt finish. What are the chances of pregnancy? I took a cheap test 5 days ago just to see and it was neg. Advice? thks!

You need to start a new pack if you keep losing pills. Please use a white washcloth or towel when you punch out your pills so if you drop one you can see it. Pulling out is NOT going to protect you from pregnancy so you must use a condom every single time until you get your birth control straightened out.

You NEED to read the pamphlet that came with your pill pack when you forget a pill.

If not that, talk to your pharmacist, your doctor, or google your pill online!

Mine says when I forget to take one, take it as soon as I remember and then take the next one at the usual time.

Again, find the pamphlet that came with your pack, talk to your pharmacist or doctor, or google it online. Hormones are not something you should mess with.

Pulling out is NOT a good method of birth control. NO contraceptive is 100%, so any time you have sex you risk the chance of pregnancy, period or not, protected or not.

there is a small chance you could get pregnant. next time you lose one take the next days instead. do not skip a day, just have your cycle a day early and then you will eliminate the chance of pregnancy.
