Tampons!! OMG they're sooo much better.
all these girls are so afraid of them..and if you aren't stupid and forget them then you wont get TSS.
they dont realize that you would have to leave it in for like 14+ hours before you'd even get the slightest symptoms of TSS. They really aren't dangerous (if they were, why would they be so popular and why wouldn't gynos be telling ppl not to use them if they were?!).

I wore pads for like the first year or two, and i HATED them. I always felt like it was leaking onto my pants, they make you feel dirty and the blood gets all over you (i mean, you're literally walking around in that stuff!! SICK!), and they feel like diapers. when i switched to tampons it was like a godsend. i refuse to wear pads now unless i have absolutely NO choice (luckily that hasn't been the case and i haven't worn one since i switched).

if you don't wear tampons, switch. you really can't feel them (unless you have them in wrong..then it feels like its falling out lol!) at all. you can move around and do sports in them with ease also.

Tampons! I dont know how old you are but you must be in your teens if you are asking..but I'd gladly help. Ask you mother or guardian to show you how to properly use a tampon, if your uncomfortable with that there is always an paper insert/pamphlet inside of the tampon box that will show you how to safely use them. -NEVER- leave them in past 3-4 hours there is a deadly syndrome call T.S.S or toxic shock syndrome if you leave them in for too long. Tampons are way better than pads because there a way more secure way handle your period. Get the right absorbency and fit they have Light, Regular, and Super. Pads are bad because not only do they feel like dipers but when you pull up and down your pants they can swipe the side of your leg!! Eckkk! and they can fall off or unstick from your pannies!! Ahh tampons are way sleeker as well and easier to fit in your purse.
I've always used the Tampax brand, regular and they work great. Not only that but a portion of there proceeds go to donate sanitary supplies (pads/tampons) to girls in 3rd world countries who miss school because of there period because they can't afford supplies.

You also may want to wear a panty liner the first time you try because you may not be familiar with how heavy your period will be. I would bring at least 3 tampons for the day.

GOOD LUCK!

Neither! I used a sponge until they came out with the Insteads and Keepers. Love them better than better than anything! If I had to choose only between pads or tampons, it would definately be tampons! I never wore a pad except for about two days after my babies were born, I couldn't stand the mess longer than that, went right back to my sponge! Sponges, keepers & Insteads are all green! Not literally, but you simply squeeze the blood out (and rinse if you have a sink by the toilet, I know, can't do that in a public restroom, their only downfall!)!)and put them back in, so there is less pollution in the environment, and they cost less too, since you don't need a new box every month!

I choose tampons because of the fact they are much less messy, are much less complicated to hold on your handbag, and are extra handy to apply. Tampons are available a super form of sizes: lites, widespread, great, great plus, extremely. Pads do not supply as many recommendations. you may get a pantiliner or a maxi pad. Pads tend to be cumbersome. It took me a whilst to get used to tampons yet they are lots extra desirable than pads. in case you have a heavy circulate it is absorbed via the tampon and you do not ought to experience it. Pads are in simple terms approximately like diapers.

I would like to be able to use tampons, but I get horrendous cramps within 10 minutes of using them, so I have to use pads. I asked my OB/GYN about it and he told me that some women are not able to use them due to how they are built.
And BTW: It is really immature to give thumbs down just because someone prefers pads over tampons. I mean, come on. There are bigger issues than if someone uses a pad or not.

Tampons, after you put them in right, squatting helps make it easier, you almost forget it is there.

I still like to use a 'panty liner' with a tampon on my heavy days.
Undies cost $, so when I have an accident, where the blood doesn't quite come out, I put them in the back of my drawer and call them my period panties.

Ok, I'm going to go waaaayyy out on a limb and tell you that I don't use either. I use something BETTER. The Diva Cup... seriously, that's it's name. It is a silicone cup that you insert. It collects the "monthly intruder". You dump it out and reinsert only 2 -3 times a day. You can wear it over night. No leaks - AT ALL!! I heard about this on a blog. You can read more about it there as well as all the women who tried it and LOVED it!!! Plus, you'll save a lot of money because you just rinse and reuse! Go read the blog, if anything it's free entertainment because Crunchy Chicken is hilarious!!!

Definitely tampons. I feel dirty and stinky when I wear a pad. Sometimes, if I'm having really bad cramps, though, I'll use a pad.
But tampons are less restricting, and much cleaner. They're also disposable, meaning they won't stink up your bathroom garbage! :)

i prefer tampons just because i kinda feel gross and kind of dirty when i use the pads. pads make me feel like i'm soaked. :-)
but tampons usually give me more cramps i've come to notice that. but tampons are better because i can do any activity and sometimes i feel like i'm not even on my period. so that's why i prefer tampons to pads.
