I would not base my decision on who would wield supreme executive power in my country based on something as inconsequential as the gender with which that person found love. Without knowing their policies I would vote for no one.

I would'nt take into account a persons sexual orrientation when voting, that has nothing to do with how a person could run a country.
But a lot of american voters are christian (im guessing your american) and would never vote for a gay president just because of what it says in the bible. so i wouldnt expect to ever see a gay president anytime soon.

I fail to see how a person's sexual orientation would govern how they would handle issues both at home and around the world. Such a thing wouldn't make a bit of difference, people who are gay could make the same decisions any other man/woman in office could.
Oh yeah, guys? Not every gay man's favorite color is pink (I for one wish it never existed, but that's my opinion.), and it's not a lifestyle! How come you people can't get it through your thick heads? I swear, these are the people we're fighting against to have equal rights. People who are hardly (if at all) educated on what homosexuality actually is.

there is no longer something incorrect with an brazenly gay individual working for president. The question on if I have been to vote for them might rely on their political platform. A liberal gay would not get my vote, nor might a liberal something. A conservative gay ought to get my vote reckoning on the different conservatives working.

I am not an American but if I were sure I would vote for a gay president, what he does in his bedroom has nothing to do with his ability to run the country.

It makes absolutely no difference to me whether or not the soon-to-be President is gay. What matters is whether or not he/she is a piece of crap!!
So, yes, I would vote for a gay person for President.

I wouldn't vote for them because they are gay. I would vote for them if I felt they were a good choice.

If they were the best candidate with good ideas about which direction to guide the country, their sexual orientation would not matter.
