Reasonably good - or at least as good as other goldfish without telescope or bubble eyes, or a headgrowth (wen) that grows down and covers the eyes. These latter types are the ones considered to be "visually impaired".

They may not be able to see across a room, but as you come closer to the tank, it should react to a person being nearby by coming to the glass or to the surface and "begging" for food if it's a typical goldfish. There are conditions (pop-eye, cloudy eye, eye flukes) that can reduce their vision.

they have fairly poor vision some have good vison rairly
