By the way, there is a proper name for these things, or people (if they really can be called that). It was a word coined by a nine year old and among my favorite "unlisted" adjectives...

my s.o.'s family. i'm all for helping family, but their needs are never ending. they think we have a money tree. they expect us to drop whatever we are doing. i'd really like to see what they would do if we moved to a different state.
