how would it affect our daily life

I don't need it at home except for laundry but would use a generator.
Some would die if they were on life saving equipment and didn't have a back up generator. Many businesses would close since they wouldn't be able to use all the equipment even if they had a few generators.
My home has a wood stove and my hot water is gas and we have many oil lamp so it is fun to have a power outage even it it last days. The camper has a generator so we could camp in the yard and watch tv and stuff if we wanted to.

It would cripple a town or a city. However, this is where the beauty of govenment bureaucracy comes in. We have government workers who will come up with immediate assistance and emergency repairs. We will have back up power supply, generators for the most critical and necesary services in the city. Our sources of electricity are scattered in grids throughout the place
Some of your fellow citizens would have no problem coping and may not even miss it.
On our own, all of us must be able to be self sufficient for a few days at least with our own water, power supply and food.

So they say in every disaster manual.

I have lived for longer than a month without utilitys of any kind, several times.

Imagine, no city lights polluting the sky at night.

No crappy TV. No Crappy internet. No cellphones ringing in places they shouldnt be.

No powered pumps bringing you water, taking your waste.

All the morons running thru intersections cuz there are no lights.

All the ignorant rioting and looting. People shooting other people over water and kids diapers.

Pockets of in-humanity, walling up, going to war with their neighbors, over dwindling supplies.

Dang, sounds like fun.

Well, if you live in a city like Mumbai where there are constant power outages, it would probably be easy to adapt. I was there a couple of years ago during a big monsoon flood. It was hellacious in many places, but the neighborhood where I stayed remained pretty sane.

Otherwise, it might look something like this (ha ha!):
