Hi, just wondering if anyone knew any good information reguarding how long it takes before a tadpole becomes a frog. Or, how long will it take before tadpoles develop legs?

my son used to raise 7 different types of native frogs and I can telll you from our experience
most frogs develop legs and turn into frogs the same summer that they were hatched
but we have had several larger types (bullfrogs & leopards) that overwintered as tadpoles and turned into frogs the following summer

It all depends on the species of frog, water temperature, and environmental conditions (by this, I'm referring to overcrowding, reduced food resources, and water drying up).

Some frog species make the change in just a few months, while larger types like bullfrogs may spend more than a year in the tadpole stage. If you have a US native species, you can get an idea of the timing from this list: http://exoticpets.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=exoticpets&cdn=homegarden&tm=11&gps=427_604_971_482&f=00&su=p284.8.150.ip_&tt=2&bt=0&bts=1&zu=http%3A//www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/caer/ce/eek/teacher/frogeggs.htm

If you have another species and know what it is, google "(species name) + reproduction".

I've had them years ago, but never really paid attention to how long. It's 6-8 weeks before hind legs show and 3 months until it starts losing tail, getting lungs and front arms (with variances depending on species)....here's more info. The first link, just put the cursor on the drawings:
