All children should get the best education they can even if they aren't typical.
This means a child like my great niece that has down syndrome can't be neglected because she doesn't learn at the same speed or ways as other kids. She has a learning plan and a team making sure she is doing her personal best. This takes resources that might have been used on more typical students but she will get a much better education than she would have 50 years ago.

This is an attempt by right wing groups to politicise education. Teachers study for a long time and constantly update their knowledge - they don't need political groups interfering.
