Cleo, you COMPLETELY missed the point..if you open your eyes & your mind instead of racing off to your OWN conclusions you may just understand what the point is !
It would be a good start if you read both Katew& Nadia's question before you start ranting at the question...

He uses me to help do his work and I'm a nobody in the big picture of things. So he likes ordinary because then he can do the extraordinary!

Maybe Mary's background was "insignificant" but God blessed her with carrying Jesus for reasons more important than that...God chose her because she had it in her to raise HIS son...I think Mary played important roles in Jesus' life...she was obedient to God in whatever He asked of her, starting by the news of her carrying a baby while she hadn't known any man...then by the way she let go of Jesus while he was growing up (and mothers find it so hard to let go of their boys) and leave him at the temple when he wished to be there...she was there for his first miracle at the Cana wedding and she was there when he was crussified and gave his last breath.
I don't think there is another mother capable or worthy of carrying the most important man in the world...and you know what they say Aussie...behind every great man, there's a greater woman...(ya I had to throw that in...you know me)

In the missionary work we used to say that God only uses humble, little people to accomplish great things. If she would have thought herself to be anything, she couldn´t have been used...Just remember how she didn´t even question God about it, only marveled at the grace of being chosen to be "the one" to bear the Saviour;
" And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away."

It makes sense...people who are seemingly insignificant generally seem to be more likely to posses the most beautiful qualities...humility, generosity, kindness, etc. Not to mention taking responsibility seriously. Exactly the kind of person you would want to entrust with the care of your most precious loved one.

may be she wasn't a queen , but from the start her mother dedicated her to Allah , even before she gave birth to her and people knew that she was a purely innocent person , she was chosen by Allah to be honored by being the mother of one of the holiest humans in the history of mankind .
