I've been on the pill for over a year, and sometimes experience breakthrough bleeding..
I have been spotting fresh, bright blood for almost a week now, and cramping as I would before I get my period - the spotting began a few days after I last had sex with my boyfriend.
I wouldn't normally get my period until Tuesday, but I'm really nervous that this is implantation bleeding. Are there any distinctions between implantation bleeding and a regular period?

Based on what I've heard some women say the bleeding for implantation can be the same as a period. I would recommend checking with your doctor as well but in the mean time here's the link to a site that may help you find more information. It's at: http://forums.obgyn.net/pregnancy-birth
