This is true for all of the problems, just plug it in!

81/6 = 13.5
22/3 = 7.33

1) 13.5 + 7.33 = 20.83

2) 13.5 - 7.33 = 6.17

3) 13.5 * 7.33 = 98.955

4) 13.5 / 7.33 = 1.8417

Is that what you meant?

81/6 + 22/3=?

The denominators for 81/6 are 6 and 22/3 is 3. So we need to take the common denominator. It should be 6 as 6 can be divided by 6 itself and by 3. now make the denominators equal for both the values. So now the figures should be 81/6+44/6
As the denominators are common now, we can simplify as (81+44)/6 which is 125/6.

In the same way you can do subtractions .

For multiplications 81/6 * 22/3, just cross divide.
(81/3=27.)
=27*22/6=99.

to divide you invert and mulitpy
so it is
81/6 x 3/22 = 243/132

Ok
1. To add or subtract fractions you need common denomonators(the numbers on the bottom) so u have 81/6 and 22/3. 22/3 is the same as 44/6 because it is just multiplied by 2. so 81/6 - 44/6 and you just subtract the top numbers. so u will get 37/6. u just add the tops when u do addition. to multiply, u still use 44/6 and u multiply 81 x 44 over 6 x 6. To divide fractions u flip the second number and multiply. So 81/6 x 3/22.

81/6 + 22/3 = 81/6 + 44/6 = 125/6 = 20 5/6
81/6 - 22/3 = 81/6 - 44/6 = 37/6 = 6 1/6
81/6 * 22/3 = (81*22)/(6*3) = 1782/18 = 99
81/6 divided by 22/3 = 81/6 * 3/22 (reverse the second fraction) = 81/44 = 1 37/44

Now I am sure your teacher wouldn't want me giving you all the answers so I showed you how to do the first take these rules and apply it to the others and that should help.

81/6 + 22/3 =

Your CMD is 6 therefore 6 goes into 6 once making it 81/6 however with 22/3 the dominator goes into the 6 twice making the 22 a 44. You have to cross multiple to get this. So now, you have 81/6 and 44/6 making your answer 125/6.

8 1/6 = 8 1/6
+2 2/3 = 2 4/6 (changed 2/3 into 4/6 so we have a common denominator)
=10 5/6

8 1/6 = 8 1/6 = 7 7/6 (cannot subtract 1/6 from 4/6 so we borrowed from the whole number 8)
- 2 2/3 = 2 4/6 = 2 4/6
= 5 3/6 or 5 1/2

8 1/6 X 2 2/3 = 49/6 X 8/3 (converted both whole numbers into improper fractions for multiplication) = 49x8 / 6x3 = 392/18 = 21 14/18 or 21 7/8

8 1/6 divided by 2 2/3 = 49/6 divided by 8/3 (like above) = 49/6 X 3/8 (changed division problem into a multiplication one by reversing the second fraction) = 147/48 = 3 3/48 or 3 1/16

8 1/6 + 22/3. 1.) make 8 1/6 an improper fraction 49/6 2.) find a common denomanatior, i.e. 6...22/3 becomes 44/6 4.) add the top numbers together...93/6. 5) make it a mixed number 15 1/2.

8 1/6 - 22/3/ Follow the same 1-3 steps of the first one. 4.) substract the top numbers. The answer is 5/6.

I don't remember how to mult the fractions :( Sorry I couldn't help on that one...I think you just mult across...but I could be very wong.

8 1/6 divided by 22/3. 1.) make 8 1/6 an improper fraction, 49/6. Cross mult. i.e., mult 49 times 3 and put that number on the top of the result fraction. mult 6 times 22 and put that number at the bottom of the result fraction. You would have 147/132. Make it a mixed number. 12 1/4 is your answer.

when adding and subtracting get common demoninators

when multiplying multiply tops and bottoms

81/6 + 22/3
is really
81/6 + 44/6
because for common denominators you have to multiply the top and bottom of the second fraction by two

now add numerators

so

81/6 + 44/6 = 125/6

81/6 - 22/3

same for this

81/6 - 44/6

so it equals

37/6

81/6 x 22/3

for this multiply the numerators and then the denominators

basically

(81*22)/(6*3)

=1782/12
=891/6

when dividing just multiply by the reciprocal (flip-flop) of the second fraction

so

81/6 DIVIDE 22/3

is really

81/6 * 3/22

so

(81*3)/(22*6)

=243/132

81/6 + 22/3

you have to get them with the same denominator so muliply 22/3 by 2
81/6 + 44/6
=125/6

pretty muct the samefor the next , times the 2nd one by 2
81/6- 44/6
=37/6

with multiplying you just times the numbers straight across so its
81 x 22 divided by 3 x 6
or 81 x 22/ 3 x 6
1782/ 18 = 99

the last one

to divide you invert and mulitpy
so it is
81/6 x 3/22 = 243/132

First find the lowest common denominator. Then convert 22/3 to a whole number and the 6ths,. Take it from there. My grandchildren in the fifth grade did the examples without blinking an eye.

good luck with the other problems

the concept is

a/b + c/b = (a+c)/b

you can only add if you have the same denominator which in this case is b
