why do I constantly worry about death.
like I always obsess about people in my life dieing.
I am so petrified of it, every night when I go to bed I have to make sure the doors are locked even if I know they are, I check every single window in the entire house, and I can only sleep at the bottom of my bed because I feel like someone’s going to shoot me through my window when I’m sleeping. I don't know its weird. I just constantly worry about people I’m close to dieing. why do I have this weird phobia of death?

Well maybe its because you don't know what will happen after you die. I am a christian. I believe that when I die I will go to heaven. I have no fear of death. Jesus loves you. He doesn't want you to be afraid. He wants you to come to Him in Heaven when you die. If you have any questions at all please contact me

I'm a bit like you. Before bed I check windows and locks. I sleep curled against the wall. Sometimes I'm afraid that someone will break into my house to kill me. Recently though I have been more comfortable with this. I gave death a thought. And I realized that thinking about it too much was causing me to fear it. I wrote poems, speculating death, trying to find some possible answer. I think what scares me the most is that I don't know what will happen when I die. Lately I have been talking to my friend before I go to sleep each night. She has been a great help to me. Try talking to someone close to you before going to sleep. Whether it's on the phone, instant messaging, texting, or in person. It can put you at ease to know that that person cares and is looking out for you. If you still have a bad phobia, talk to your friends or family about it. It won't go away quickly. But with time and reassurance, it will begin to fade. It's natural to have some fear of things we're unsure of. But if it gets to be too much, we can always turn to people that we love and trust to help us.

I have similar fears except i disregard my own safety and take risks though i worry about those who im close to i think it has to do with a defending instinct. maybe something happened to you as a kid those things really have an effect later in life.

Sounds like you have some kind of paranoia disorder. You should talk to your doctor about it or talk to a psychologist. Don't let it get worse, and that's always a possibility. There are meds available to take all that away.
