The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel

Check your library or local bookstore. Christian bookstores would be real good bet also. This book was written by a former atheist who saw the light.

Also, check with your pastor for ideas.

Atheism is also a religion, to be truthful. It is followed by those who don't believe there can be a God.

A couple of things here.

First, if WE write you an essay to use, it would not be YOUR reasons for having your religion.

Second, if you USE something we've written, that's plagiarism and most religions are supposed to be against cheating. Wouldn't that somewhat defeat your purpose?

Third, if you have a true belief, you should be able to write it down ... otherwise are you not just parroting someone else? Sit down and think about WHY you believe as you do. What are your reasons? How does your religion benefit you? This essay is supposed to be about YOU and YOUR faith -- not about ours, your pastor's or anyone else's.

Oh yes, one final thing. Please make sure your grammar and spelling in your essay is MUCH better than your question here!

EDIT: In your own words you asked "can you write me a brief essay" -- sorry, no matter how you look at it THAT IS CHEATING NOT RESEARCH. As to facts -- there are none. That is the whole point. There are no FACTS to prove the existence or non-existence of God. It is faith and belief.

The point your English teacher is trying to make is that you are not articulating why you believe in your religion. He (or she) thinks you are jumping to conclusions. This problem isn't solved by finding out why others on Yahoo Answers believe in their religion. The point is, why do you believe in your faith? Aim the question back at yourself and think about it seriously. That's the best way to persuade your English teacher you have a serious basis for your beliefs.

To me the best answer is that everything in the world was started by something else. So if you go back all the way to the beginning of the world, what caused everything to begin? That would be God. If you say the big bang started it all, what started the big bang?
