So my friend tells me to pick a random card and place it anywhere back into the deck. He then shuffles it. After, he separates the cards into piles of 3. He tells me to pick one pile, (its faced down) and he removes it. He does that until there is 1 pile left. He tells me to pick one of those 3 and the one i picked is my card. It left me with a WTF look on my face.
If anybody can identify it and tell me where i can find instructions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't come across that trick yet. Would have to watch it to guess lol.
I'm not sure exactly how it works from your description. maybe can be done using palming? Control shuffle the card to the top, palm it off, and then let you choose those decks of cards and with the card in his palm, slip it back to the last deck?

thers 2 thing going on hes most likely palming and hes only letting you think your choosing and its that he knows where the card is and when he says pick a card or stack if you pick the stack where there card is he just removes what you didnt pick if you pick a stack where the card isnt here removes that stack leaving the stack where the card is

we could see...i used to have a gaggle, yet heres an common one: have a chum %. a card and tell them to memorize it (this would be a distraction). as they seem at it take the appropriate card off, turn it over, and placed it on the backside, then turn the deck as one(with the the opposite direction up card on suitable, so it appears that evidently like the deck is sweet-factor up). youll opt to prepare this step so as that they wont notice it. then tell them to slip their card returned in. placed the deck at the back of their returned, turn the "suitable card" over, then the full deck. if achieved good, once you leaf with the aid of the deck to coach them, there would desire to be basically one upside-down card. theirs. good success i desire its exact sufficient. =]
