I have a quick question.
I was hoping to start a webcomic and I have everything ready except one thing, borders. I'm using a simple ruler for the borders and it isn't cutting it...
I will put it into Photoshop, and I notice the borders are way off, tilted, or uneven.
Is there a tool out there that can help? Or do I just need to try again with a ruler?

They have square stencils in your local art supply store that you can pic up for a couple of bucks. This can help with your
comics because the stencils are a perfect square.I hope that
helps u good luck.

I hated drawing out mine, so went into Word, did the box, decided on the thickness of the lines, lengthened it out, and printed it off. I've been photocopying that and doing the drawings & vertical line panels, then they're scanned into the computer.

Sort of round about, but it works.

Syndicated cartoons are all hand drawn borders from what I hear. There's a 'how to' on this site that walks a person through all the steps --- http://www.fborfw.com/features/makingof/

Maybe you can use photoshop first to make a border template. Print out a bunch of the templates, then you can draw your comics on those. Make sure if you do use photoshop or illustrator for a template, reduce the opacity (Transparency) of the lines so you can draw or ink over them easily. Hope this helps... Cheers-
