for $200 your choice is more limited, it kind of rules out bellagio, wynn, caesars and venetian unless you can find a good deal like here http://www.smartervegas.com/promotionaldiscountscodes.aspx
Treasure Island, Monte Carlo, NYNY, Luxor would be within your budget it seems though and they are all fine choices on the strip

$200 is not much budget per night in Vegas these days. You will find the better prices on The Strip are Monday through Thursday nights. Stay away from the major properties like Wynn, Venetian, Mirage. Go to www.lasvegas.com OR www.vegas.com and find you best deals. Friends have found hotels.com is not the best source of deals.
Every hotel has its own web site and purchasing directly from them gives you up-to-date prices.
IF I were staying and wanting the cheapest, try Circus Circus, Sahara, Imperial Palace or Tropicana.

If your not there for gambling try the Polo Towers. They don't have a casino. It's a timeshare (hush...did I say that NASTY word?). No restaurant but you will be exploring the strip anyway. The pool is ordinary but open much later then the average strip location. You can get a 2 bedroom apartment for less then a room at Ceasars, Wynn's, or Bellagio.

Such a difficult question to answer...What kind of quality are you looking for? What location do you want..on the strip, down town, off the strip? How much money do you have to spend? The answers from these basic questions are a good starting point to answer your question...trust me Ive been to vegas alot and you need to narrow it down....

Haha price if you have to ask you probably can't afford it...regular room rates at the Palms @ 300 a night and has the best nightlife in Vegas, but if you need somewhere cheaper stay off the strip and take a taxi you're in Vegas why would you want to be in your room???

I thought Treasure Island was good for the price. I did not like Excalibur.

Venetian, IMO.
All of the rooms are mini-suites, at least.
