We got our tree 2 weeks ago and did all the decorating on the 2nd. So far the tree looks pretty good. I hope it lasts until New Year's Day because that's my traditional day for 'undecorating.' My son's birthday is Jan. 4 and I don't like to have Christmas decorations up on his birthday -- I don't want anything to detract from the day being special and just for him.

Advent Sunday (4th Sunday before Christmas) is the "correct" date for trees and decorations to go up.
The 12th day of Christmas (Jan 6) is when it should come down.

The tree will not go up this year. I do have a wreath on the front door. There is not much for Christmas this year. My Christmas dinner will be a food stamp inside of a fortune cookie.
