They were released as the "B" and "A" side of the vinyl single back in 1978, and were often played together on the radio as a result.

That is the way it was recorded on the album, 'News of the World' from 1977. There was but a momentary pause between cuts, and AOR format rock stations played it that way. It soon became a staple of many pro and amateur sports teams' playlists.

It was only natural to release the cuts as A and B sides of the same 45, but the album came first.
