You need to work on these yourself. Just for starters, the mitochondria make energy the cell can use.

Is this a little test you're running? Well, to answer your question, the mitochondrion performs cellular respiration, breaking down the elemental compounds of oxygen and sugars, mostly glucose, to release energy for the uses of the cell. It occurs in two phases, one in the cytoplasm and the other inside the mitochondrion. In the cytoplasm, the sugars are broken down very slowly into sub-molecular particles (requiring no oxygen). Later, it moves into the mitochondrion where oxygen breaks it down even further, releasing (relatively) massive amounts of energy.
1.b:Allows materials in and out of a cell
2.i:contains water, nutrients and waste
3.a:controls cell activities
4.d:synthesizes proteins
5.g:packages proteins
6.j:synthesizes lipids
7. h:synthesizes sugar from sunlight in autotrophs
8.k: Make energy the cell can use
9.e:contains the organelles
10. c:Transports proteins
11. l:Supports and protects plant cells
12. f:Cellular digestion
For the record, I did not use any search engine or otherwise to answer your 'quiz'. It's sort of funny that you asked this because we're covering this in my 7th grade science class.
