Is it more than you wish to remember? I was treated to a long version tonight....we were having a meal with a colleague of my father's and his wife....and she asked my parents how they met. I think that was when I realised I was in for a long night....lol

LOLOLOL-- I am sure they have a great story-- the American and the Brit, but when you've heard it for the umpteenth time... its not so interesting.

I've heard my parents' story alot, but I never seem to get tired of it since they seem to remember new details every time its told. They've been married 41 years now.

Crickenberger is the craziest surname I've ever heard. As for first names, I read this article about this poor little girl whose parents named her Talula-does-the-hula-from-Hawaii. Fortunately, the court made the parents change her name to a more sensible one.

Never heard the whole story.
My mother was at a dance at age 15.
My father, age 23, had recently returned from Vietnam and was at the dance obviously looking to meet a high school aged girl.
Thats all I know. I guess my dad is a cradle robber.

Just a couple of times. I actually like those kind of stories. You and your future wife will be doing the same thing with your kids some day.

I've lost count how many times. He drove a bus. She rode it, and he thought she was the cutest thing he'd ever seen. Mom liked him, too.

I'd give almost anything to hear them tell that story again. I've lost both of my parents (I lost my Mom recently - one year in January). They had so many great family stories.

Write down your family stories while you can. Christmas is a great time to ask relatives you don't normally see about their stories.

Oh... I am such a sap. I ask every couple how they met. I love Love stories. I've heard how my mother and father met and also how my mother and step-father met. And the story of how my mother and father met was much more romantic!!

Been a long time. Don't remember how they met.
I know the story of how she met my stepfather and how they thought each of them was a different age. It's rather a cute story!
