Why do people say the graphics are so much better?

I have a wii,ps3,and xbox 360 and cant really notice a big difference in graphics as people say there is from my wii and 360/ps3 yeah the graphics are a little better on 360/ps3 but overall they arent as good as people say. Some games on the wii even have better graphics then soem ps3/360 games like metroid prime 3 and mario galaxy. I dont even care about graphics anymore because it g
ets to the point where i could see whats on the screen and It looks too realistic. Yeah it looks too realistic and that takes fun out of gaming. I also dont get how people say the wii is all kids games when it actually has some game for kids. Here are 10 games not for kids Farcry both Medal of Honors Metroid Prime 3 Both Resident Evils Mario Galaxy is too hard for kids CoD 3 Twilight princess is also too hard for kids and Red Steel. That is on top of my head and i Doubt everybody has 500 dollars for games.

Well actually jenny that matters on the game you are playing. Viva Pinata has "cartoony" graphics.

Red Eyes it matters what you like I like shooters the most so i got the 360 first. I think the wii is better for a little of everything that is why i got the wii. I just got the ps3 cause I wanted to play the new ratchet and clank game. Oh i have a ds original. I might get a psp. There should be new handhelds in a year or 2 so i might just wait.

Adrian I think gears of war has better graphics than most of my ps3 games. I cant really tell much of a difference but there is too much lighting in the ps3. F.E.A.R is too bright when meant to be dark. I agree the ps3 does have the potential but it is hard to draw that potential because it is cpu based when graphics are better on gpu based systems. I like all systems but see that the really super graphics arent as necessary as people think. Some people dismiss the wii all out because it doesnt have the greatest graphics but it still has good graphics and I actually like some games more than on other consoles. I like my 360 the best because it has more games but I could swich once more games are made for the wii and ps3. If your console only has graphics to back it up you might as well throw that console away. The system with the best graphics is my pc imo.

Yeah, the PS3 and Xbox 360 have alot of things going for them, but so does the Wii. The Wii has some good games coming out soon, especially Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It's such a unique game and I don't think either the Xbox 360 or PS3 will ever have a game as addictive and fun as Brawl will be.

The graphics are definitely better on the PS3 and 360 compared to Wii but the Wii is not bad looking. It actually can have some pretty good looking games. It's just that the other have so much more technology in them so they will obviously look better. The high end graphics do look very good in some realistic games and FPS's, but for all the other games that are not really meant to display realism, there's no significant advantage with better graphics. But their extreme prices really put off a lot of people. The Wii is pretty cheap, has some great games, and it's pretty fun with people. And it's selling very well, better than either of the other two, I think. All in all, all systems are good. The Wii has it's own niche, and it's doing very well and it will continue to do well as long as the developers put the time and effort into their games.

I don't know if you know but a game console's graphics get better and better over time as developers figure out how to unlock more of a console's potential.

Just think of it this way, if the PS3 and Xbox 360 have about the same graphics now and the Xbox 360 has been out 2 years and the PS3 has been out just 1 year, just imagine what the PS3's graphics will look like in 1 or more years from now. The Xbox 360 is most likely at it's fullest potential right now. The PS3's technology is still being discovered and hasn't even been fully tapped yet.

As far as graphics goes, you haven't seen what the PS3 is truly capable of. And don't even look at multiplatform game graphics for the PS3, look at PS3 exclusive game graphics like Uncharted Drakes Fortune.

The PS3 has the best graphics really. PS3 exclusives look way better than Xbox 360 exclusives and they look better than any Xbox 360 game. Multiplatform games look about the same for both consoles though.

Mabye they say it an account of it looking realistic.aBy the way, which of those do you think i should get?,I'm considering a Wii because i need to lose a few pounds, hehe.U r soooo lucky to have ALL 3!!!If u had a PSP and a DS Lite I would be soooo jealous. XD

well the wii and ps3 have cartoony looking graphics while 360 has more real looking graphics

they are not better...PEOPLE its just a game its more gameplay than anything....YOU see the people who want better graphics are losers who have n0 life and need better gaphics to make their game THEIR life..(losers....nintendo is awesome.....{x box is ok though} but nin is the BEST....)
