What really is normal?
But of course, there is nothing wrong with it.
It's perfectly OK to be a married couple and not have childeren. Just because you're too young to have kids, it does not mean that you are too young to be married. There is no law that says that married couples must have kids right away! You have plenty of time.

Yes, it's normal for girl want to married as early as 18 specially those girls having to enjoy her sexlife or whoever whose sex active with their bf. I've got married at 18th and after 6 months after my debut my bf and I had been making love as often as 5 times a day since then. Now I'm 26 and still happily married 7 years ago we're blessed with one kid. I never thought to have a kid because all kinds of contraceptive I used but frequent sex with my hubby made it.

But the question is even you don't have plan to kids yet, how would you sure you'll not be pregnant for 4 years living together with yor husband doing sex as often as possible? All kind of contraceptive are not 100% sure. So anticipating to have more kids while at the younger age for women getting married can hardly put in plan. Not unless, 100 % no sex would happened but married at 18 age has no maening if no sex at all.

It is normal. My friend just got married at 18 last June and does not plan on having kids until after college. I am also doing it but I am not getting married until next winter when I am 19. Having children would make attending school too difficult.

normal? Sure. Everybody has different things that they want. Some people may want to have kids right away, and some may want to wait 10 years....both are normal. If you are 18 when you get married I think its a good idea to wait a while to have kids as well.

If she's getting married at 18, it's certainly a good idea to wait to have kids. I hope you're going to spend that 4 years getting a degree! Actually, 22 is still kind of young.

I don't know about normal, but waiting is a real good idea. Let's both of you grow up some, and develop the marriage so you're working together before throwing kids into the mix.

And your question makes it sound like one or both of you wants to go to college. Do that. College grads make, on average, half again as much as someone with only a high school diploma. You'll want the extra income raising a family.

Yep.

Getting married at 18 is not as common as it once was. As a culture we've done our best to drag out childhood and adolescence as long as possible. In the 50's you'd be in the majority not the minority.

We had kids starting in our mid 20's and often said we'd have had more if we hadn't waited.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to get married, and wait four years to have kids. I got married at 23 and I am in no hurry to have kids either, if at all.

no girl should be getting married at 18. much less having kids. you'll be divorced in no time.

why not try volunteering in a nursing home? or with the blind to take your mind off of marriage??

I would say it's abnormal. I don't know any 18 year olds that are married.

Most 18 year olds I know are in college, not married.
