Some people think of the boondock to be racial because of the use of the "N" word. Me personaly i think of the show to be an expression of mind. When the characters say the "N" word it just reflecting off of real life. I stand up for the show because i can relate to huey. When people of diffrent races say that the boondock is a down grading show to african americans, logically speaking they would not know how it makes us feel.

It's on Cartoon Network Pix-Ed.
It's not racist, Aaron McGruder is trying to shine a light on issues and life in the African-American community. It's very smart and very funny, although this second season is not as good as the first. Maybe it's just a sophomore slump. Too much Ruckus. He loses his sting when he's in every episode. Hopefully next season will have Caesar, Brooklyn stand up =)

Well, the thing is, this show actually confirms racial stereotypes imposed upon black people. I dare everyone that answered this question, including you, to tell me that this show doesn't contradict those stereotypes! You know as well as I do that this show does exactly that. I know that this cartoon is incredibly funny, but some of the things said and done are in very bad taste, but I do continue to watch it. I can also relate to Huey, but my brother relates to Riley, which I find very annoying.

I haven't seen the show, but Boondocks was one of my favorite comic strips (and I'm caucasion). The LA Times quit running it for some reason. What channel is it on, because I would like to watch it.

It's definitely got strong racial overtones and Aaron MacGruder himself has proven to be very ethnocentric. I'm white and I love the show. It's funny as hell but I also have a spine and a sense of humor so I may be in the minority.

Well personally, I don't know any black people that find that show entertaining, I think its like a lot of adult swim shows, just plain stupid, especially like the racist cartoon where it looks like a blob of snot and he has a confederate flag in the back of his vehicle. I also dont know any cartoon that leaves any stereotype untouched, they can offend anyone from blacks to whites to gays to the handicapped.

i love that show and you are right in that it is a reflection of black lifestyles. althought it may be humorous, the show does touch on a lot of problems that plaugue the black community and shows lots of stereotypes of black people. i do agree that it does use the n word a lot but black people do that in real life to
