the best way to do that is to lift up when you dance. use your center and posture to lift yourself up and you will glide and be gracefull and pretty. this is what i find works...you see some dancers who look dull, unconfident, and clumsy. this is because they dont use their confidence and center to lift theirselves up. this reallly helps. it seems vague and hard to do but when you do it you'll feel the difference.

Same as in any craft--PRACTICE! PRACTICE ! and more PRACTICE! If you have learned the proper sequence of steps, you gain more confidence as you rehearse the routine because it is becoming second nature to you. Now embellish the routine with arm movements, head turnings, and the like which add the professional flare to the dance. When you watched ballroom dancing everyone knew the steps, and the winners were the ones with the flare.

Body Control is essential.
Do stretches so that you can hold your body strongly with out wobbling.

#1 Stand on one foot with your other foot next to your knee (not touching) focus on a spot on the wall infront of you. Balance. Close Eyes. When you are confident with this stand on your toe instead of flat footed. Balance Close Eyes. (Repeat with other leg)

#2 Walk around the house bare footed on your toes to strenghthen foot muscles.

#3 A-frame kneel down (double knees) put your hands on the ground in front of you, push into doggy position, get over how wrong it sounds, push up, legs straight back straight, push your heels towards the ground as far as possible

When on stage make sure none of your lines are straight as it looks to structured and 'precision' never point fingers straight EVER
etc.

Good Luck
Happy Dancing

I really breathe through the music and move through my breath. It's kind of hard to explain and took me a couple of years to discover, but it's all about the music and your breathing and your emotion.

prepare hip circles and such with using your decrease abdominals extremely of looking on your legs. to achieve this do non-stop practices of isolation of the decrease abdominals. With this your legs would be unfastened to hold you anyplace you elect whilst your hips pass via your abs not your legs. it is going to take time. yet you will get it. :)

Practice, practice, practice. Pick out someone you like to watch dance, how does she move, ask her questions, oh yeah and did I mention practice?
