No one is ever ready for marriage. Date forever. You'll probably stay together longer.

The first time I got married I had this nagging feeling that I was making a huge mistake...I ignored that feeling and married him anyway. We were divorced four years later and the marriage itself was bad from the beginning.
The second time I got married was much different. I just "Knew" this was the guy for me. There were absolutely no doubt in my mind that I was making the right choice and I went with my heart and my head. Lucky for me, I did make the right decision. I've been happily married to my husband for ten years now.
You have to listen to yourself, heart and head. You'll know it when the person you're meant to spend your life with comes along. It's an unbelievable feeling.
Good Luck:)

If your willing to work as hard as you can to make it work no matter what happens..... Put your self 10 years from now they've gained weight, you've changed and you have had your ups and downs...... Are you willing to stay with them and work through it or if some one else came along and wanted you would you be tempted to have a one night stand with them...... Are you willing to go through counseling if you have marriage trouble? And to quote one of my favorite lines from a movie..."I'd rather fight with you then make love with some one else" If you can answer these you will know the answer.....

When you know you are truly in love for one thing. You know all his secrets and wishes and you accept them, and he accepts yours. You have discussed, family, children, finances, etc., and both of you are on the same page. Remember, one does not change so do not go into a marriage thinking that he/she will change in time. This will lead to divorce.

You will never be positive, there is always that element of uncertainty. But one day, there will be someone you cannot imagine your life without, it just seems to be right and natural, and you care as much about their happiness and desires as you do your own. That feeling sometimes takes years to develop between two people.

Honestly I do not think anyone really knows......
.........because you just never know what is lurking just around the corner of you relationship
for instance:
in-laws staying over for the weekend.....often,
variations in sexual appetite.....he likes it less than you do,
finances..............just how much does she really like to shop,
children.......after1birth he doesnt want more and she does,
routine............one of you falls into it and another does not,
temperments........one is much stronger than the other,
violence.........a side you never saw of them,
.....................................................and so forth
However, the first time marriage ever crossed my mind as something that I wanted for myself was when I met an amazing man. Although, I still know that with every amazing man there is something lurking just around the corner.

I don't know if you ever really know for sure. It is just like you are drunk on love and stupid to everything around you but that one person.

You don't. if you think about it too much you'll never do it.
I can tell you this much though. If you wake up on your wedding day and your thoughts are , "Eh. We ought to give this a try." You are doomed before you start.

I don't think anybody knows these days. It's meant to last forever and we all know that they all don't work out. I suppose you would get this feeling in your stomach when he asks the question and then you'll probably know.
