I heard this term mentioned. Does this mean someone gets slapped physically?

Its anything but happy, some silly little yob slaps you while another one videos it on their mobile phone. It often end up on the Internet.

No I haven't but I was told I was "slap happy" when I was overtired and everything seemed to be funny!
Nope read it, I would never want that to be here, I might slap them back and hard! Knock the sugar out of them!

Thanks to conor for that info ! What is our world coming to? The worst we did as kids was knock on peoples doors or make crank phone calls. In our local paper, there was an article of a woman walking to school to pick her child up and this exact same scenario took place. A group of middle school- age kids surrounded her, slapped her face as someone took a pic with their cell phone. I didn't realize it had a name . More like an oxy-moron.

I have heard also slap happy as overtired semi-delirious. In the USA you better not slap anyone, you'll get a bullet between the teeth.

Whats happy about being slapped? Ouch!!! Whats next? Kick happy?? Then again I can think of a few people who need a good boot..that would make me happy.

Happy Slapping originated in the British Government and it continues today in all British Ruled countries. Especially in Ottawa Canada. Just tune in the parlimentary reports and news and you will see them all happy slapping each others fat round he man faces.... It true...

I had to laugh at the last part of the meaning, someone wrote:
