Well, i just finished my first semester of college and I dont even know if I passed one class but all the others i got b's in. I feel that college isnt really for me but at the same time, my parents will kick my ***(not literally) bc they want me to get a good education and make good money. My dad has always pushed me in education making sure that i turn out better than he did and not have to go waht he went through. But deciding on a major felt empty bc i didnt really want to do any of them. My passion is in fitness and training. Also, i have been told that i should be a model and I really want to do that and hopefully get discovered as an actor later on. The major problem is that i dont think there will be any money if i dont get a college degree and I want to live the big money lifestyle so i can give a better life for my loved ones in the future. Sometimes i feel like i just want to stop with school and be a trainer and then move to California or NY and try working as a model.

Im thinking about just finishing school and try modeling afterwards. Do you think it will be more difficult to get a job after a slight break from degree to job? Like would i be able to get a job easier if I were to just go straight after i graduate or will it be the same if i take a little break and try modeling?

Not to sound cliche, but knowledge is power. Education is absolutely essential. Just power through it and get it done. You'll have the rest of your life to figure out what you want to do. A modeling/acting career will still be there in four years. Education = choices. You'll still have choices if you don't finish your education, but they'll be more like "Burger King or McDonald's" "Assembly/Production or Janitorial?" Don't do that to yourself. Finish your schooling.

The other person said is a good idea: major in fitness so that you have background as a trainer.

Why don't you stay in college and model as a part-time job? You could also get some acting gigs for the local theater. Stay in college and get a degree. It is only 4 years. Take time to build your portfolio to become a model. Then after college move to your dream city and become a model. If it doesn't work out you still have your degree to fall back on!

Major in fitness. On your summer break, I'd say you could go to LA and check out modeling or acting in a commercial just to say you did it. But make sure you go back to school. With these uncertain times (gas prices, the war, the economy) it's good to stick to your education and get a degree. When you quit school its harder to get back into it. Best of luck to you!

1. major in physical fitness. ...you can be a trainer with that. there are many good jobs in the fitness sector and you can convince your parents of that
2. major in acting and theatre if you are interested in that - they will have that major at universities. how can you be an actor if you have no skills?
3. go to NYC on your break and go to some cold calls. see if they hire you. or start going to school in california or nyc and see if you can break in to the business.

if you do decide to quit school, WHAT WILL YOU DO that will give you the life you want. try it. You have to have a good solid plan for what to do if you quit school because your parents will probably quit helping you. i would quit helping you.

I would say stay and fisnish your school first before you out to work
If you don't pass continue until you passed

You have to work 30-50 years to get your retirement package

From work experience
In the corporate company they always evaluate your educations background

More education get better position and better pay
Most of CEO have minum of two university degree

Modelling is good when you young
When you old and don't have education
you have to start from bottom again with minimum wages
